The Beauty of Gender

The first symposium, “Zur Schönheit des Geschlechts” [On the Beauty of Gender], took place on 26 November 2016 in the studio of the artist Fabian Vogler:

Intersex-Kontroversen [Intersex controversies]

The second symposium, “Intersex-Kontroversen” [“Intersex controversies”], took place on 22 November 2017 in the Erika-Haus ballroom at the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). Prof. Peer Briken, Director of the Institute for Sex Research and Forensic Psychiatry at the UKE, opened the event. The initiator, Dr Katinka Schweizer, was pleased that so many people accepted the invitation. She introduced the host project along with all the guests and moderated throughout the afternoon.

  • Legal insight into the Federal Constitutional Court judgement by Prof. Dr Konstanze Plett

I-DSD Symposium, Copenhagen

The I-DSD Symposium took place in Copenhagen from 29 June to 1 July 2017. In addition to medical topics, the discussion addressed psychosocial issues (e.g. the care situation and psychosocial screening) and ethical aspects (e.g. in connection with fertility). Ute Lampalzer presented initial results from the research accompanying the HOOU project INTERSEX-KONTROVERS.

INTERSEX-KONTROVERS at the largest German psychosomatic conference

From 21 to 24 March 2018, the German Congress for Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy took place in Berlin under the title “Psychosomatics as Perspective”. Here, too, Ute Lampalzer presented the results of the research accompanying the HOOU project INTERSEX-KONTROVERS.
